Things to do in Maui

First and foremost… take a surf lesson!

Stand up Paddling is all the rage now.

Windsurfing. Kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling.

There is nothing better than experiencing the ocean.

Hiking. Hike Maui is a great book. It’s paperback, so it’s cheap, on Amazon, and it lists many great hikes
on maui. Most are National Parks and are marked.

Hiking into the Volcano is spectacular, but beware of weather conditions, and always check with the
station at the summit before venturing.

My favorite place to eat on maui is Sansei. There are two, one in Kihei, on the south shore, and one
in Kapalua on the west shore (north, past lahaina). It’s a sushi bar that serves delicious sushi. Thurs –
Saturday nights they have late night sushi and karaoke. If you can stay up and dine at 10, it’s half price!
And you can sing!

Paia is a great town to visit. It’s a historic sugar cane plantation town, that now boasts tons of shopping
and dining. Just up the beach is the ‘windsurf capital of the world’ HO’OKIPA Beach. Flatbread Pizza
89 Hana Hwy 579-8989, is a local favorite, and mine too.

Paia Fish Market is great fish tacos and cold beer. 2A Baldwin Ave 579-8030
